“Cammino per Manhattan con la macchina fotografica nello zaino. Destinazione SoHo, dove nel pomeriggio è in programma uno shooting di moda. La città mi accoglie con un’immancabile pioggia e i taxi non si fermano.

Ma la Grande Mela è vibrante, ogni scorcio richiama l’attenzione. Un fotografo rischia di impazzire. Mi lascio rapire da quanti fanno jogging nonostante un freddo pungente, dal vapore che esce dai tombini, dall’Empire che scompare nella nebbia.

E’ a quel punto che decido che una vera macchina fotografica non avrebbe reso fino in fondo quel senso così profondo della realtà. Forse un apparecchio di uso comune come un telefono avrebbe reso meglio quella realtà così .. vera.

Comincia così un diario di viaggio giornaliero con il mio iPhone e l’applicazione Hipstamatic. Un racconto itinerante realizzato per immagini a portata di tasca”
